Parent Power: Our new partnership can help boost funding for our sensory room, while helping you to lower your home energy costs!

We’re pleased to have partnered with Parent Power from Zenergi, a new energy comparison and switching tool that can help you find a better deal for your home energy.

How does Parent Power work?

The energy comparison and switching tool takes users through a few simple steps in order to compare different energy suppliers. You will be able to select Hillside in the mandatory section that requires a school to be nominated, and when your energy successfully switches over, your new supplier will make a donation to us of £10 for each utility switched (gas and/or electricity).

It’s as easy as that, and at the start of the summer term we will receive a cheque for all the funds raised for our school – so tell your family, friends and neighbours too!

How will we spend our funding?

All the funds raised through the scheme will support our new sensory room. Our sensory room gives our children the opportunity to learn in a calming and therapeutic environment, while helping them to regulate their emotional and sensory needs. The funds will enable us to install an exciting range of technology that will offer a safe place to play while supporting children to interact with others and develop their skills. A combination of lights and musical equipment would provide both visual and auditory sensory feedback, while soft play and sensory integration swings would support gross and fine motor development and give our children proprioceptive and vestibular sensory feedback.

So, if you are thinking of switching your energy, take a look at the Parent Power switching site and help us raise vital funds, while securing the best price for your home energy supply.
