Class 4 2024 - 2025
Mrs Kelly Strickland
Welcome to Class 4
Autumn Term
Our topic this half term is, ‘Wild Weather’, which we will explore through various activities.
In our English and Communication sessions, each week, we will be learning about different types of weather through a variety of texts, including ‘Meet the weather’, ‘Shark in the Park on a Windy Day’, ‘Little Raindrop’ and many more.
The theme will continue throughout our Geography, DT and music lessons, with a focus on weather around the world, Vivaldi - The Four Seasons and the investigation and designing of kites. In PSHE we will be focusing on Self Awareness, learning about 'people who are special to us' and 'things we are good at'.
Every day we will continue to work on our individual targets and enjoy lots of fun and exciting ways to learn!
Key information:
· PE– Takes place on a Monday afternoon, please ensure your child has a full PE kit in school.
· Please send in waterproofs and wellies, so we are always prepared for whatever the weather brings us. A spare set of clothes, including underwear and socks is also really useful.
· Snacks and/or lunch – Please make sure you have ordered a school lunch if appropriate.
· Please let us know if there are any issues or useful information that will help us to care for your child via email/chat book or phone call.
All the staff in class 4 are happy to answer any questions or queries you may have and will support you as best we can. Thank you!
